Trout Nursery The trout nursery at the Fairfield High School has been cleaned on June 12th, 2010 and we are ready to received the new fingerlings on July 2nd @ noon. We are expecting 4,400 trout, brook, rainbow, browns and palomino's. Anyone interested in helping be at the nursery at 11:30AM. For more information, please contact Dave Swope

Land Purchase Update

The McSherrrystown Fish and Game has completed the purchase of land adjacent to our property. A 60+- acre tract from the Whiteford farm has become is now part of the club. Cyril Klunk reported- 65.3 acres of land was purchased. 49.9 acres are farmable Dave Smith our attorney who is a member only charged half his normal fee Purchase price $432,271.86 Calendar Committee committed $280,372.90 toward the purchase Club committed $110,000.00 toward the purchase Dean Bankert donated $100.00 of his own money toward the purchase The club needed to borrow $105,000.00 Will pay ?interest only? for 3 months August 5 Calendar committee will add another $63,000.00 to the principle Payments will be $810,00 a month for 5 years on a $41,000 loan Calendar committee will give another $10,000.00 at the end of the year. Bob Hostetler is farming 49 acres at $339 per month Cyril would like to trees planted around the land Taxes school $465.00 AC taxes $185.00 Oxford Township $148.00 Interest on the load is 6% 100 yards setback around the property against neighbors building Thank you to everyone that bought a calendar because you helped support this purchase.
