Fairfield Nursery - Dave Swope
The fish nursery had a very successful year. Over 4,550 nice size trout went to the streams in Adams County. The committee worked hard to get the raceway cleaned and ready for this year's trout. The fingerlings arrived the first week in July. We received 4,400 fingerlings ranging from 3-4 inches. Thanks to all of the volunteers and the officers support. A grant application was applied for painting and repairs to the nursery. The club is searching for a committee chair for the nursery.

South-central Outdoors for Youth - Dave Swope
This past year's event was held at the club on June 4th with over 160 kids participating. The 2012 event will be held at Adams County F&G in Orrtanna. Please get your kids involved in this great program.

Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs
The PFSC represents our interests as hunters, anglers, trappers, and gun owners. It is also involved in environmental and conservation issues that affect us all. For more information please attend our regular monthly meetings which are held the last Tuesday of each month.

Pheasant Update - The McSherrystown Fish and Game's pheasant program is currently being taken care of by Brian Bauerline. Brian lives in New Oxford and is able to check on the birds on a daily basis. He is also vice president of the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever where he uses his Vizsal (Hungarian Pointer) to guide for the chapter's Youth Hunt and Veterans Hunt each fall.
